Self-oscillating generator (multivibrator) of rectangular pulses

The circuit of the self-oscillating generator (multivibrator) of rectangular pulses is based on the circuit of a differentiator on an operational amplifier, in the circuit of which positive feedback is introduced, formed by resistors R2 and R3.

The pulse frequency depends on the timing chain R1C and is determined by the formula:

f= 1

2×R1×C×ln((1+R')/(1–R'))

R' = R2 / (R2 + R3)
