Non-inverting amplifier

A non-inverting amplifier (Fig. 1) by definition transmits a signal without inversion – thus Vout is equal to Vin multiplied by a positive constant. This constant is determined by the ratio of the resistors.

Formula for calculating the output voltage of a non-inverting amplifier:

Vout = Vin × (1 + R2 / R1)
