Multimeter: Continuity Mode

Multimeter: Continuity Mode

The continuity test mode in the multimeter is designed to determine low resistance in the electrical circuit being tested and has a sound (ringing, beeping) at a resistance of less than 10 Ohms. This response threshold may be different in different multimeters.

This mode is indicated by a sound icon on the multimeter panel.

Functionally, the circuit continuity mode in a multimeter is an ohmmeter mode, but with threshold value control. When the threshold reaches 5 Ohms or less, sound appears.
