LED Strip White

LED Strip contains multiple LEDs and can be supplied with constant current and constant voltage. The specific version of the power circuit depends on the LED strip circuit. This can often be determined by the appearance of the LED strip. If there are resistors in the tape, then the power supply must be constant voltage, and the current through the diode is limited by the resistor. The voltage depends on the connection diagram (a group of several LEDs with resistors) and the number of LEDs in the group. The current from the power supply in this case depends on the current in one group and the number of groups connected in parallel, i.e. from the length of the LED Strip. In this case, you can use regular Power Supply or power adapters for power supply. The calculation of the current-limiting resistor in this case is performed in an online calculator. Example of LED strip segment see Fig1.

If there are no resistors on the strip (see Fig 3), then it is important to provide a constant current through the LED Strip.

In this case, a specialized LED Driver is used to supply DC power. The amount of current through the LED Strip without resistors depends on the type of LED and the number of parallel LEDs in the group (for example, see video on YouTube) and the type of current - constant or pulsating. The operating voltage of such a driver changes depending on the load (the number of LEDs installed in series), but the current for the LED Strip remains unchanged.
