Horizontal delayHorizontal delay is a regulated value set in seconds. Horizontal delay is used for signal data registration in the interval fell significantly behind the trigger point. If the signal registration before the trigger point is unnecessary the minimum horizontal delay (i.e. the time between the trigger point and the first sample point) depends on scope specifications and evaluated from several to dozens of nanoseconds. In the animated picture below the horizontal position of the supporting point doesn’t coincide with the samples number necessary for data storage in the device memory before the trigger moment. In this case horizontal delay will be set starting from the trigger point till the supporting point.
