Design smaller, lighter isolated power supplies for HEV/EV powertrain systems

06/11/2024

TI invites to attend its webinar on June 25, 2024. One way to optimize an automotive HEV/EV powertrain design is to reduce the size of the isolated bias supply, which can result in system-level cost savings and fewer discrete components.

Isolated bias supply solutions such as discrete push-pull and flyback converters have traditionally required heavy, bulky transformers that are prone to vibrations, and require a complicated design layout.

This webinar will discuss how to design the highest power density solutions with lower BOM cost, low EMI and superior thermal and isolation performance using the industry’s smallest 1.5-W isolated bias supply for in automotive HEV/EV applications such as BMS, OBC and traction inverters.

In this webinar you will also learn:

  • Design challenges within HEV/EV systems
  • Brief overview of high voltage products for isolated power
  • The importance of the isolated DC/DC power supply in automotive HEV/EV applications
  • How next-generation isolated DC/DC modules can help design an effective isolated bias supply
