The analog microwave signal generator R&S SMA100B now provides microwave signals up to 67 GHz with industry-leading RF performance. In overrange operation, it even provides signals up to 72 GHz. The R&S SMA100B generates signals with lowest single sideband phase noise and highest output power with extremely low harmonics at the same time.

NI, the provider of a software-defined platform that helps accelerate the development and performance of automated test and automated measurement systems, announced the mmWave Vector Signal Transceiver (VST) to address the test challenges of 5G mmWave RFIC transceivers and power amplifiers. This product will be demonstrated at NIWeek 2019 in multi-site production test configurations for packaged part and wafer-level test and in validation test configurations using over-the-air measurements.

Tektronix, Inc., announced the expansion of its scalable DPO70000SX Series Performance Oscilloscope to include new 13 GHz and 16 GHz models. The Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic (ANS CR) modernizes its voice communications system (VCS) for simulation and training and has chosen Rohde & Schwarz to supply the new turnkey solution. The core of the project is the R&S VCS-4G technology, with a total number of almost 200 controller working positions for the ATC simulators at locations in Prague, Brno, Ostrava and Karlovy Vary.

Texas Instruments (TI) introduced an automotive system basis chip that is the industry’s first to integrate a controller and transceiver for Controller Area Network with Flexible Data Rate (CAN FD). Designed to meet the high-bandwidth and data-rate flexibility needs of in-vehicle networks, the TCAN4550-Q1 uses the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) bus of almost any microcontroller to implement, with minimal hardware changes, a CAN FD interface or increase the amount of CAN FD bus ports in a system.
