About Ferris wheel

It’s possible to say that Ferris wheel appeared thanks to Gustave Eiffel because trying to go better than him and his Eiffel Tower George Ferris designed a big wheel. The wheel was built in Chicago, 1893. The diameter of the wheel (75 m / 0.05 miles) was rather big even according to the nowadays criterion. It had 36 cabins with 20 seats and 40 standing rooms. The wheel was moved with 2 steam engines with power 1000 horse forces each of them. Nowadays this wheel is called “Ferris wheel”. And it is considered a battlefield of all record-hunters.
