How we identify voices

Human brain identifies men’s speech better that women’s one. Women’s voices are more musical and sound on higher frequency. Frequency range is much more broaden than men’s voices have. Human brain using its additional resources has to decode the meaning of what a woman says. By the way people who suffer from auditory hallucination usually hear a man’s speech.
