The new online Zener voltage regulator calculator allows you to quickly determine the series resistor value of a Zener diode.

The total current of the circuit is determined by the series resistor (R₁) and is always constant. When the load current decreases, the current through the Zener diode increases accordingly. This calculator assumes a constant load current.
